Private equity firm The Blackstone Group has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering.
The firm intends to apply to list its common units on the New York Stock Exchange. Morgan Stanley & Co. and Citigroup Global Markets will act as the global coordinators of the offering and representatives of the underwriters and, together with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Credit Suisse Securities (USA), Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank Securities will act as joint book-running managers of the offering.
A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
