There will be a 15-minute extension of the trading day at the Prague Stock Exchange as of 1 April 2008.
It will be possible to execute trades from 9:10 a.m. CET in the Continual Regime (KOBOS) and from 9:15 a.m. in the elite SPAD Regime for the blue-chip share issues. The end of the trading day remains unchanged, i.e. 3:55 p.m. regarding the Continual Regime (KOBOS) and 4:00 p.m. regarding the SPAD Regime.
“The extension of trading hours has been already authorised by the Exchange Chamber last year in October. But with respect to the general trend in the share market, we have decided to revise slightly our predetermination with the intent that only the beginning of trading will be changed. This allows Exchange Members and all market participants to respond quickly to the actual situation on other markets, because the opening hour at the Prague Stock Exchange will be adjusted to the hours when trading on other European markets begins”, says Petr Koblic, general director of the Prague Stock Exchange.
