The Bank of New York, a global leader in securities servicing, has been appointed by Banco Commercial Portugues (BCP), the largest privately owned financial group in Portugal, to act as global custodian for USD1.1 billion assets. The appointment will also see the Bank provide BCP with FX services for specific currencies.

“We appointed The Bank of New York because of its high level of service and we were particularly impressed with its capability to meet our demanding requirements across a broad range of custody services,” says Luis C. Ferreira, the head of International Markets Department at BCP. “We look forward to developing our relationship with the team and believe the Bank will provide us with an excellent service tailored to our needs.”
