Platinum Funding Group announced the expansion of its service offering to hedge funds, venture capital firms and boutique investment banks by appointing two new business development professionals at the company’s headquarter in New York City.
Dina Niron and Greg Zilberstein joined Platinum Funding Group in June and are responsible for originating new business opportunities from these financial organizations.
Dina Niron will more specifically focus on the venture capital industry. In her new post, she will reach out to private market investors, venture capitalists, private equity funds professionals, and portfolio managers. For the last couple of years, Niron specialized in funding early stage and fast growing companies through PIPEs and investments in private companies.
Prior to joining Platinum Funding Group, she was COO of a hedge fund in New York. She managed funds portfolio, and established strong relationship with IR firms. Niron was also in charge of analyzing and evaluating global markets. Niron, an attorney by profession, is a member of the New York State Bar. She holds an LLM from Benjamin N. Cardoso School of Law in New York, and an LLB from Tel Aviv University School of Law.
Greg Zilberstein joined Platinum Funding Group to support and develop services to the investment banking community in the tri-state area. He will direct his attention to investment and commercial bankers, private equity and turnaround professionals.
Prior to joining the company, Zilberstein was with Laurus Capital, where he sourced, structured and negotiated debt and equity investments for sponsored and non-sponsored transactions in public and private companies. Target investments were in distressed, growth capital, recapitalizations, leveraged buildups and buyout areas.
Before Laurus Capital, Zilberstein was a Director of Strategic Corporate Finance at IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT), and an associate with STI Ventures/Softbank. He started his career as an investment banking analyst with Gerard Klauer Mattison & Co. Zilberstein received his BA in Biology and Finance from Yeshiva University.
