Mariusz Piekos, who represents Bank Pekao in the Custodian Bank Council, has been appointed as the member of the steering committee/management board of the Polish Custodian Bank Council, according to a newsflash from UniCredit Group.
With 15 years of experience in the Polish capital market, Piekos has been actively involved in the CBC since 2008.
The Polish Custodian Banks Council at the Polish Bank Association consists of representatives of Polish custodian banks and aim at lobbying toward the implementation of internationally recognized standards and regulations on the custody field, UniCredit says.
The Council is recognized as important partner for regulators, Warsaw Stock Exchange, National Depository for Securities and other market associations, the group said in the newsflash. CBC activities focus on supporting market developments, commenting on new legislation regarding capital market, supporting market practices and standards.
