Philippe Foulquier has become an associate professor at Edhec, where he will also be in charge of IFRS/Solvency 2 issues for institutional investment management within the Edhec Risk and Asset Management Research Centre.

Foulquier, who has a doctoral degree in economic science and is a graduate of the SFAF (the French Financial Analysts’ Society), also has research experience in industry, as he began his career in the scientific department of UAP (Union des Assurances de Paris). Before joining Edhec, he was responsible for pan-European research in the insurance sector with Exane (part of the BNP-Paribas group).

In 2005, Foulquier was named “best French financial analyst in the insurance sector” in the reference international ranking established by Extel/Thomson Financial.

Foulquier will be in charge of IFRS/Solvency 2 issues for institutional investment management within the Edhec Risk and Asset Management Research Centre. He will also participate with the accountancy-control department’s research team in a study programme on the impact of the new accounting standards on the perception of listed companies’ risk premia.
