Peter Higgins has joined agency brokerage firm Pulse Trading, Inc. as Senior Vice President and Head of Trading in Boston, Pulse’s main office.
Higgins (37) has acquired more than ten years trading and money management experience starting in New York at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., and continuing in Boston at Thomas Weisel Partners, Moore Capital Management, LLC and SoundView Technology Group, Inc.
“Pete Higgins, with his excellent credentials, will add significantly to our capabilities as we continue to strengthen and expand our Boston and nationwide trading operations,” says Michael P. McCauley, President of Pulse Trading.
Higgins’ experience has ranged from hedge fund head trader to equity sales trader, including trading in international as well as domestic securities. Higgins is a 1990 graduate of Boston College with a BA in Finance.
Pulse Trading, founded in 2000, trades on all electronic platforms and traditional trading floors to serve its institutional investors, which include hedge funds, mutual funds and pension funds. The firm’s branch offices are located in Chicago, New York and San Francisco.
