Pegasystems Inc. today announced the availability of the PegaSYSTEMTM 8.1. This release offers Pegasystems’ customers expanded real-time integration between Pegasystems’ process automation technology software and other applications, enhanced system performance, and further support of customer initiatives.

The PegaSYSTEM 8.1 platform brings enhanced connectivity to other front-office applications.

The release provides customers with increased functionality to help streamline business processes and to assist in delivering consistent customer service across multiple channels.

Pegasystems’ open, flexible technology and expertise in leveraging existing databases and legacy systems help organisations to automate and to integrate their critical business processes across the enterprise.

“Pegasystems’ rules-driven applications solutions are already enabling many leading financial services, healthcare and insurance organisations to automate critical business processes and help them become more efficient and effective,” said Joseph Friscia, executive vice president and general manager, applications business, Pegasystems. “The release of PegaSYSTEM 8.1 is evidence of our ongoing investment in technology to support our customers’ needs and move our applications business forward.”

The PegaSYSTEM 8.1 release includes PegaINTEGRATOR(tm), a new component designed to extend an organisation’s front-office applications with Pegasystems’ process automation and fulfilment capabilities.

Pegasystems’ industry expertise in business process automation helps customers to minimise manual work efforts and to perform straight through processing of service requests, which can help to increase user productivity and to reduce service costs.

Additional features include the ability to facilitate intelligent, rules-driven communication between Pegasystems applications and other personal information management and collaboration solutions, which can provide greater flexibility in managing client-related data and driving sales and service information across the enterprise.

This helps to increase staff effectiveness and productivity and to maintain customer information as a corporate asset.

Further PegaSYSTEM 8.1 enhancements include open access to transaction data for third party reporting, data mining and analysis, improved caching and database lock management, more flexible correspondence generation capabilities, and expanded SOAP support.

Pegasystems offers a migration path for existing customers to previously defined workflows and interfaces.
