Henry Paulson, secretary of the US Department of the Treasury and a former head at Goldman Sachs, says he plans to donate almost all of his $800 million to charity, according to the Financial News.
Paulson recently gave $100 million worth of his Goldman Sachs stock to Bobolink Foundation, the environmental education group he founded. The organization is likely to be at the forefront of his long-term philanthropic plan.
Paulson wanted to be a forest ranger when he was younger, which is partially why he is a big supporter of environmental causes.
He is also chairman of The Nature Conservancy and has donated to The League of Conservation Voters.
