Barclays Capital has appointed Pari Lake a Director in its Prime Brokerage team. From 14 February 2005 she will be based in London to market hedge fund services, reporting to Michael Brian, Head of Equity Prime Brokerage for Europe.
Lake joins Barclays Capital from Continuous Time Finance LLP, an equity statistical arbitrage hedge fund where she was COO. Lake previously spent five years at Bear Stearns where she was a Managing Director in the prime brokerage division.
“Pari has excellent experience of prime brokerage from both the buy and sell sides of the business and her appointment further strengthens our client coverage capabilities,” says Brian.
The appointment of Lake is one of a number of recent hires in the European prime brokerage/equity financing group at Barclays Capital. Kristian West and Megan Kenney joined from Goldman Sachs and Craig Walker from Merrill Lynch.
