Global Custodian can reveal the five speakers making up its panel to discuss the takeaways from the upcoming asset servicing documentary.
Following the 45–minute documentary that will be premiered at 12pm BST on Thursday 24 September, the industry experts will be on-hand to respond to questions from the virtual audience who will have just completed watching the presentation on the state of asset servicing in 2020.
The panellists include Ryan Cuthbertson, head of product management for securities services at Standard Chartered; Michaela Ludbrook, global head of securities services at Deutsche Bank; Simon Daniel, director of institutional trade processing product management, DTCC; Sandro Heim, head of relationship management, The Swiss Stock Exchange, SIX; and Mark McKeon, head of front-to-back solutions, BNY Mellon.
‘Custody 2020: A documentary’ will explore the most prominent themes in asset servicing, as told by the winners of our coveted Leaders in Custody awards and will be free to view for the publication’s readers around the world.
The topics will include the changing role of the custodian, evolving client demands, the need for automation and innovation, areas for asset servicing improvement, data, ESG and more.
With Global Custodian’s prestigious annual ceremony unable to go ahead in its traditional format due to the pandemic, the publication decided after much consideration and consultation that a story of custody in 2020 would be a perfect replacement.
The format both honours the winners of our awards through giving them a voice to tell the story, while uniting and engaging the securities services industry through an open forum discussion during the premiere, where questions can be submitted to a live panel which will extend the discussion after the film ends.
