Orc Software says its mobile trading technology is to be bundled with Sony Ericsson’s new flagship smartphone P910, via the recently established venture Promyzer.

The application aims to offer superior mobility for investors, professionals as well as private, allowing them to stay in control of market activities by receiving price updates, news and alerts, as well as executing orders in real-time on the Sony Ericsson P910 smartphone. Since the market connectivity from Orc Software will be used, it will be possible to monitor and trade all instruments and asset classes supported by the Orc System.

“Promyzer, on the P910, brings mobile trading to a completely new level. Orc Software, the vendor of technology for trading professionals, has been carefully selected for this co-operation”, says Ulf Wretling, Director, Content Development, Sony Ericsson.

“Wireless access to markets is the next natural step for investors who today are monitoring and/or actively managing their investments. With this wireless product traders and private individuals are able to monitor and trade instruments in real time on multiple markets, get individual alerts on relevant market events, as well as receive news feeds,” adds Mats Bergstrom, Managing Director, Promyzer.

“Orc Software’s strategy is to broaden the use of and leverage our core technology. By embracing new innovative technologies we add value to existing clients and can also reach new target groups and areas. This project is an opportunity for us at Orc Software to explore the potential of our technology in the mobile arena,” says Nils Nilsson, CEO, Orc Software.
