Fund administrator Orangefield Columbus has hired industry veteran John Wiencek as director of business development, and he will be based in New York.

Wiencek began his career working as a CPA and an attorney, and he has over 20 years of experience in the alternatives sector such as serving as managing director of North American Operations at Mourant International Finance Administration (which was later acquired by State Street Global Services). He then went on to start his own fund administration firm, AltResources.

“I founded AltResources years ago because I believed there was a better way to practice private equity fund administration: with tailored tools, robust information, and powerful accountability. AltResources’ success has been a tremendous experience and a great source of pride. When I met the people at Orangefield, I saw the potential to expand my scope and deliver extra value—without compromising on my beliefs and values,” says Wiencek.

As director of business development, Wiencek says he will “continue to expand Orangefield’s presence and service platform in the Americas for both private equity funds and corporate/SPV holding company structures.”

Wiencek is a graduate of New York University’s Stern School of Business, and he obtained his law degree from Fordham University.
