Asset manager OppenheimerFunds Inc. has appointed James F. Bailey as senior vice president of Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure.

Bailey will be based in Oppenheimers Centennial, Colorado offices and will oversee management of corporate technology functions such as data centers, networks, telecommunications and help desks and will report to Michael Baldwin, the management firms chief operating officer.

Bailey brings more than 16 years of information technologyand operations experience in the financial industry to his position, spending the previous five years in a senior IT management role with T. Rowe Price Group, where he was responsible for software development, implementation and engineering. Prior to that, Bailey worked at MFS Investment Management, Inc. for over a decade, most recently as a senior vice president of IT and investment operations.

“Technology and operations are central to providing the quality service and investment resources OFI is known for,” said Baldwin. “Jim’s depth of experience leading these functions at top asset management companies will be a tremendous resource as we continue to grow, innovate, and satisfy the needs of investors.”

Bailey is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a M.S. in accounting from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
