OpenLink Financial, a operations processing software company, is including compatibility with the ICE Trade Vault swaps data repository (SDR) in its Dodd-Frank compliance solution.

ICE Trade Vault was the first SDR to be approved by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which approved the definition of a swap for regulatory purposes on July 10. Most swaps will be required to be centrally cleared, while certain insurance products, consumer and commercial arrangements and loan participations will be exempt.

The offering from OpenLink will allow commodity and energy market participants to comply with Dodd-Frank SDR reporting requirements, the firm says.

The combination of ICE Trade Vault and OpenLink will allow global market participants to benefit from our functionality and compliance tools, helping them manage new reporting requirements through a well-designed, cost-effective solution, says Bruce Tupper, president of ICE Trade Vault.
