OneChicago, LLC reported that 290,034 contracts traded at the Exchange in April, an increase of 180% over April 2004 trading volume. Average daily volume was 13,811 contracts. Year-to-date 2005 volume is 81% ahead of the same period in 2004.

Marty Doyle, President of OneChicago, said, “We continue to see increases in our trading volume. OneChicago expects to maintain this upward trend as we move ahead with our education efforts on the benefits of single stock futures.”

Each single stock futures contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund. The top five single stock futures contracts by volume in April were: Pfizer (PFE1C); Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM1C);Citigroup Inc. (C1C); JP Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM1C) and US Bancorp (USB1C).
