OneChicago, LLC reported that 357,909 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in March. Average daily volume (ADV) in March was 16,269 contracts, while open interest stood at 504,558 contracts.
Each single stock futures (SSF) contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock. The top five SSF contracts by volume in March were: AT&T Corp., PepsiCo Inc., Wal-Mart, Inc., J.P. Morgan Chase and Duke Energy Corp.
