International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) has bought Healthlink, the largest U.S. healthcare technology consulting services firm, according to Reuters. Based in Houston, Texas, Healthlink is a privately held consultant with 625 employees and an annual revenue of $100 million annual run-rate.

“Our real niche in the market is making the technology work for clients,” Healthlink Chief Executive Ivo Nelson told Reuters. “We are the No. 1 consulting firm in this space.”

This is another acquisition in a recent slew of deals by IBM’s $46 billion-a-year Global Services, ranging from insurance to transport logistics to transaction processing and now because of Healthlink, health.

It comes a week after Accenture paid $175 million for North American healthcare consulting practice of Capgemini, Europe’s largest consulting company.
