The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) will start tentative calculations for its new TOPIX Style Index Series on 26 November 2008. With the new series, the TSE will calculate value and growth indices for TOPIX, TOPIX 500 and TOPIX Small.
The tentative calculation period will last from November 26, 2008, until January 23, 2009, and the TSE will provide free daily updates of index values during this period. From February 9, 2009, the TSE will provide daily updates on index values for a fee. It will also provide historical data on the series for a fee by March, 2009.
