Omgeo has hired Kathy Ball-Toncic as executive director, global STP partners programme. Ball-Toncic will report to Dave Merrill, managing director of global operations. In her new role, Ball-Toncic will focus on ensuring global alignment and effectiveness of the STP partnerships as they are developed, executed and managed. An existing team around the globe – based in their respective regions – will support her in these efforts.

“It is essential to bring the industry – all counterparties – closer to STP in the most efficient and economical way, especially in difficult market conditions,” says Ball-Toncic. “Strategic partnerships and close alignment with all segments of the securities industry is one of Omgeo’s primary business objectives. The Omgeo STP Partner Programme is playing an important role in achieving this goal.”

Dave Merrill adds: “We are pleased to have Kathy Ball-Toncic join our team. She brings numerous years of experience, professionalism and expertise – all of which will further Omgeo’s position as the global leader of trade management solutions.”

Ball-Toncic joins Omgeo from Financial Fusion, where she held the position of vice president, capital markets. In the role Ball-Toncic led sales, marketing and partnering efforts. Prior to Financial Fusion, she worked with Javelin Technologies, Longview and Thomson Financial ESG (now Omgeo).

In addition to expanding the leadership of the STP Partner Programme, Omgeo also appointed Simon Farrington to lead the Americas client service and support team. In his role as director of client services, Farrington will provide direction around Omgeo’s continued focus and commitment to ensure the highest quality of production and implementation support. Previously based in Omgeo’s London office and responsible for the integration and consulting team, he has been with Omgeo since 1998 and has led numerous successful initiatives in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). One such project is the implementation of Omgeo’s key direct services throughout the EMEA region.

Megan McKeever Costello, previously vice president at Reuters Consulting, also joins Omgeo as the director of integration and consulting in the Americas region. Farrington and Costello will ultimately focus on the successful, efficient and smooth implementation of Omgeo’s services as well as on ensuring continued high client satisfaction.
