OM today launched CLICK XTTM, the next generation of its CLICKTM exchange system. CLICK XT offers full cash equity functionality, supporting cash and derivatives markets in equity, fixed income, commodities and energy off a single platform.

OM have 20 existing CLICKTM clients which include Hong Kong Exchanges, Australian Stock Exchange, Korean Futures Exchange, AMEX, Toronto Stock Exchange, International Securities Exchange, Stockholmsborsen, and Athens Stock Exchange.

“Marketplace systems from OM have the highest performance levels in the world,” claims Roland Tibell, President, OM (US) Inc. & Financial Market Solutions. “With the launch of the next generation CLICK XT, OM has combined proven technology and advanced functionality with key performance and usability enhancements to create a new industry standard.”

Performance enhancements to CLICK XT include the addition of new diagnostic tools to help spot, prevent and fix certain problems sooner as well as improvements in speed — CLICK XT can now process more than 20,000 transactions per second. In addition, the front end look and feel of the system has also been improved and adapted for the latest Windows environment (.NET and XP).

CLICK XT supports all trading from traditional equities and derivatives through to advanced cross-border trades. “CLICK XT supports more than one market on a single platform, giving marketplaces the freedom to pursue strategic alliances or new market areas without investing in a new trading platform,” explains Ulf Carlsson, General Manager for business unit Marketplace Solutions within OM. “In an evolving marketplace such as we have today, this is a key strategic advantage.”

OM says CLICK is used by more exchanges than any other marketplace system in the world today, helping over 20 exchanges in Asia, Europe and North America become leading electronic marketplaces. Exchanges powered by CLICK generate more than 40,000 trading hours a year and provide a market for more than 200,000 instruments. On average, more than 70,000,000 quotes and orders are processed via CLICK each day. Additionally, more than 350 of the world’s leading financial institutions are connected to CLICK.
