Olmstead Associates, Inc., a provider of consulting and training services to the securities industry, and Financial Technologies Forum, LLC (FTF), a provider of seminars and conferences within the securities industry, have teamed up to offer Olmstead Associates’ popular Understanding Derivatives and Complex Securities program in Chicago and San Francisco. These locations are in addition to the current course offerings in both Boston and New York. The Chicago class is scheduled for April 30th at the W Hotel and May 13th at Le Meridien in San Francisco.
“Derivatives and complex securities such as swaps, linked securities, collateralized debt obligations and others have moved from relative obscurity to the forefront of the events that are occurring within the securities industry today,” says Ronald Olmstead, founder and president of Olmstead Associates. “It is critical that everyone, not just portfolio managers and traders, understand the nuances of these securities in order to handle them properly. We designed this course to provide the information necessary to develop this understanding.”
“We have successfully partnered with Olmstead Associates to offer several of their training programs in New York,” says Maureen Nolan, founder and president of Financial Technologies Forum. “These programs, especially the derivatives class, have been well attended and demonstrate the need for training across all areas within an organization. We are excited to be able to expand the locations where we can offer this valuable training.”
