The U.S. Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) saw activity from its securities lending CCP decline 9% year-on-year during February, with a total of 97,356 transactions.
Year-to-date securities lending activity, however, is up 4% from 2014 with 2013,122 new transactions. The average daily loan value cleared by OCC in February was over $165 billion.
The OCC cleared a total of 305.5 million derivatives contracts during the month, a decrease of 13% from February 2014.
It cleared 302.5 million options contracts, down 12%, and just over 4 million futures contracts, down 28%.
