Cleared contract volume for the OCC fell 6% year over year in November, but year to date, options, futures and securities lending activity is up a combined 3%.
Securities lending fared the best in November, with activity rising 18% year over year and up 27% year to date. Securities lending activity also hit an OCC record for the highest average notional daily loan value at 76,701,389,064.
However, exchange-listed options saw a decrease in volume, falling 6% year over year, but total options volume is still up 3% over last year.
Futures cleared by OCC gained 2% compared to November 2012, and year-to-date volume is up nearly 60%.
