Nymex Holdings have seen a 40 percent increase in operating revenues during the fourth-quarter. The parent company of the New York Mercantile Exchange, had increased USD124.8 million from USD88.9 million in 2005.

“We are very pleased with our financial and operating performance in the fourth quarter and full year 2006, as we continued to execute on our strategy,” says James Newsome, the president and CEO of Nymex. “Strong increases in operating revenues and net earnings were driven by record volume growth and the continued expansion of electronic trading.”

Nymex had operating revenues of USD497.2 million for the whole of 2006. Net income reached USD42.3 million.
