National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s only settlement depository servicing the full range of debt and equity securities of Russian issuers, has implemented its new depository system Alameda, in line with the gradual modernization of NSD’s technological platform.

The new system is based on Oracle, an industrial database management system; the newest technological solutions were used in the course of the system’s development. The system allows an increase in capacity by means of computing resources scaling. Alameda enables the company’s customers to implement a set of depository operations and form all necessary reports automatically.

NSD’s customers now may conduct their depository operations online using a Web interface. At the same time NSD maintains support of the previous system of interaction with customers using its in-house Luch workstation.
