Linedata Services says Norwich Union Life has extended its commitment to Icon Retail – its retails funds transfer agency system – for another five years.

Norwich Union Life, part of the Aviva Group, has 250 Icon Retail users for the administration of ISAs, PEPs and unit trusts. It recently reviewed the retail funds software platform that it uses at its York administration centre. As a result of the review, Norwich Union has decided to make a longer term commitment by agreeing a five year deal with Linedata Services for Icon Retail.

“We have built a good relationship with Linedata Services over the last year,” explains Kate Jones, insourced operations delivery manager at Norwich Union Life. “Our Software Services agreement with Linedata was due for renewal in August and we have taken the opportunity to move our relationship to a more strategic five year partnership. We have renewed our agreement for an extended period and we will be looking to drive Icon Retail forward through a number of enhancements, which help us to become more efficient.”

Paul Roberts, Chief Operating Officer at Linedata Services (UK) Ltd, says he was delighted by the renewal. “Looking to the future, we are considering a number of initiatives as part of an extensive Icon Retail product plan,” he says. “For example, some of the areas under review are the development of an EMX interface and workflow management.”
