Northern Trust has been appointed trustee and custodian for The Reader’s Digest Association, Inc. Retirement Plan. Northern Trust will provide a range of services, including securities lending, benefit payment, performance and alternative asset reporting for the $670 million defined benefit pension plan.
In addition, RDA awarded Northern Trust Global Investments (NTGI), Northern Trust’s asset management arm, the assignment to manage $165 million in pension assets in a passive strategy.
