Advisors from The Camelot Group International have been selected to meet with several large private equity investors and limited partners in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden in August and September to discuss global opportunities in the private equity secondary market and potential divestiture and acquisition strategies at the behest of major private equity players in Northern Europe.

The move comes as part of a broader trend over the past five years that has seen private equity experience aggressive growth, both in terms of capital under management and amount invested. In the same way, secondary markets in private equity, have demonstrated their various advantages and are growing at a rapid pace. Secondary transaction activity has to be considered as professional as primary private equity business, and investors who choose to allocate funds to secondary programs have to select the specialized, recognized, and experienced secondary team with a strong private equity background that will be able to offer good opportunities in several markets, providing good performance.

“I am delighted to be invited by the preeminent players in northern Europe. The market there is primed for some secondary buying and selling, and we should see some heavy activity in the coming year. I am excited about the prospects there,” says Lawrence E. Penn III, Managing Director for the Secondaries Group at The Camelot Group International.
