DLJ Merchant Banking Partners (“DLJ MBP”), a private equity investment affiliate of Credit Suisse, appoints Nicole Arnaboldi as Chairman of DLJ MBP and its Investment Committee. This expansion of her responsibilities is in addition to her current role as co-head of Illiquid Alternatives, along with Steve Kantor. Four DLJ MBP senior Partners – Ed Johnson, Kamil Salame, Susan Schnabel and Colin Taylor – will report directly to Arnaboldi and together, they will form DLJ MBP’s Management Committee. Steven Rattner, formerly the head of DLJ MBP, has decided to retire after more than 20 years at the Bank.
“We are very pleased that Nicole will become the Chairman of DLJ MBP,” says Rob Shafir, CEO of Credit Suisse’s Asset Management Division. “One of the most experienced investors in the business, she brings to this role nearly 25 years of industry experience where she has established herself as a leader in private equity. Having been with DLJ in private equity for over 20 years, Nicole is well positioned to oversee the continued success and growth of this important middle market business and continue to provide excellent results for our investors.”
“The team at DLJ MBP is second to none, and I am excited to take on this new role and work even more closely with them in actively overseeing this business,” says Nicole Arnaboldi. “Together, we have a very strong 22-year record of successful investing in leveraged buyouts and related transactions, and have the deep institutional knowledge and experience to capture the unique opportunities in today’s market.”
