Carne Group has launched a new edition of its UCITS Guide for Investment Managers, which seeks to provide practical guidance on the distribution of funds under the UCITS IV Directive.

The new edition of the guide has been expanded to include information relevant for both alternative and long only fund managers. In addition, the guide has now been adapted appropriately to take into consideration recent European regulatory changes to funds legislation.

Aiming to “provide both fund managers and investors interested in UCITS products with a better idea of what is involved in launching a UCITS fund,” the guide covers a comprehensive variety of topics that range from a straightforward explanation of a UCITS fund to the product types available in UCITS, location choice, and taxation.

Carne Group’s managing director, Aymeric Lechartier, adds, “The UCITS Directive can seem complex and difficult to apply at first reading. Our guide has been specifically written to address the practical questions that fund managers will have as they go about developing a UCITS fund. We are continuing to see substantial interest from managers around the world for the practical solutions we offer from our Dublin and Luxembourg offices, including management companies.”
