Cloud-based portfolio and risk management solution provider Imagine Software has released a new capability that automates the process of disclosing weekly net short positionssoon to be required by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

The solution compiles the SFC-mandated positional data into a document of the required file format, which can be submitted directly to the regulatory authority.

Our goal is to provide financial institutions the ability to focus on investing by delivering sophisticated risk and portfolio management as a comprehensive service that removes much of the operational burden imposed on firms today, says Lance Smith, CEO of Imagine. This is the first of many near term additions to our offering that support that effort.

Paladyne Systems, the order and portfolio management system provider, also recently upgraded its platforms to help clients meet the Hong Kong SFC net short position disclosure requirements.
