Point Nine financual technologies releases new risk management application for private equity and venture capitalists.

The application is designed for investors seeking superior returns in illiquid, unquoted investments such as privately originating cash flow producing assets and pools of assets. It captures all future cash flows of a deal. Using the industry standard discounted cash flow model (DCM) it then present values all the future flows to provide an NAV on demand.

The system helps the fund to satisfy the growing pressure to comply with AIMR and other bodies’ requirements for robust and accurate valuations. All entries are passed through a validation process and stored centrally. Users are granted permission rights based on their role and extensive audit reports track all changes.

“Our clients can model anything now which generates future cash flows – whether it is a string of pubs, windfarms, or government backed land deals,” says Len Fricker, Business Development Director of Point Nine. “The client no longer has to use spreadsheets and struggle to convince the regulators and investors that they have a clear picture of their positions.”
