JP Morgan had promoted Mark Leung and Jason Sippel to manage its prime services business alongside James Kenny, according to an internal note seen by Global Custodian.

Leung and Sipple will take on the roles of global co-heads of equities alongside managing prime services as JP Morgan aims to align its equities and investor services teams further.

Leung has been with JP Morgan for almost 20 years, most recently leading the Asia Pacific Equities franchise in 2014.

Sippel joined the bank 14 years, working in roles across Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York and London. His most recent position was as head of JP Morgan’s prime services business.

The two long-serving employees will fill the role left by Tim Throsby, who has left JP Morgan to join Barclays.
