Richard Petti has been appointed as the new chief executive officer Asset Control.

Petti joins Asset Control from WEMA Environmental Technology where as COO he managed the company’s growth in the environmental compliance software industry. He also worked at SunGard Data Systems for nine years, where he led global sales and services for a portfolio of enterprise risk systems.

His appointment follows the acquisition of Asset Control by Marlin Equity Partners in August 2013. Petti takes over from Dean Goodermote, who served as interim CEO during this transition, and he will be based in Asset Control’s London office.

Shawn McMorran, who as managing director of Marlin’s London office led the investment in Asset Control, said, “In the weeks since we acquired the business we have come to appreciate the wealth of talent in Asset Control and the depth of its commitment to customers. This is a great business and we are delighted to have Richard join the management team. We see a great future for Asset Control under Richard’s leadership.”

Petti said: “I am looking forward to working with the management team at Asset Control. It’s a wonderful business that has built an enviable roster of top-tier clients. We will continue to serve them with world class data management software and services, while looking to accelerate the strategic growth of the business.”
