The International Securities Exchange (ISE) has added three new members to its Board of Directors. Michael Kuhn, Chief Information Officer of Deutsche Brse AG, and Michael Monaco, Senior Managing Director of Conway Del Genio Gries & Co., LLC, will join the ISE Board as non-industry directors. J. Slade Winchester, Head of U.S. and international business development, technology and operations for the Citigroup Derivatives Markets, Inc. options market makers, will join the Board as a representative of ISE’s Competitive Market Makers (CMMs).

Kuhn joined Deutsche Terminbrse in 1989 and has held various IT management positions within Deutsche Brse AG. He is currently responsible for Information Technology. Kuhn is also the Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Brse Systems AG, a member of the Executive Board of Clearstream Holding AG, a member of the Board of Directors of Eurex Zrich AG, a member of the Supervisory Board of Eurex Frankfurt AG and a member of the Supervisory Board of Eurex Clearing AG. He has a degree in chemistry from the University of Frankfurt and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Dortmund.

Monaco joined Conway Del Genio Gries & Co., LLC, or CDG, an independent financial advisory firm, in 2002. Prior to joining CDG, he was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Accelerator, LLC, since 2000. Monaco currently serves on the board of ID Systems, Inc., as Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Monaco holds a M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.

Winchester joined Citigroup Derivatives Markets, Inc. in 2004. From 2005 to 2007, he was the Head of Single Stock Trading and from 2004 to 2005 he was the Head of CBOE DPM Trading Operations at Citigroup. He held the same position at Knight Financial Products from 2000 to 2004, at which time it was acquired by Citigroup.

In addition to the newly elected Board members, Joseph Stefanelli and Kenneth Vecchione were re-elected to serve two-year terms as non-industry directors. Gary Katz, ISE’s President and Chief Executive Officer, was re-elected to serve a one-year term.

Sean Flynn, from Timber Hill, was re-elected for a two-year term as a representative of ISE’s Primary Market Makers (PMMs). Mark Dehnert, from Goldman Sachs & Co., was also re-elected for a two-year term as a representative of ISE’s Electronic Access Members (EAMs).

“Michael Kuhn, Michael Monaco and Slade Winchester are well-respected business leaders with a wealth of knowledge and diverse experience,” says Gary Katz, president and chief executive officer, ISE. “We are excited to welcome them to our Board of Directors and look forward to the insight and guidance that they will bring to our organization.”

“We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Barbara B. Diamond and Richard Schmalensee who were not up for re-election to the Board this year due to term limits,” says Katz. “Both Barbara and Richard served on ISE’s Board as non-industry directors since ISE launched trading in 2000, and we would like to thank them for their dedication and invaluable leadership.”
