Deutsche Boerse AG has reorganised its press office with the appointment of Frank Herkenhoff, 33, as head of the office with immediate effect.
Herkenhoff will be responsible for national and international media activities and has been working for Deutsche Boerse for two years now. He joined from an international communication consultancy where he worked for various companies of the financial sector.
Herkenhoff holds a masters degree in communication science from theUniversity of Leipzig and wrote his Ph.D. thesis about risk management.
Deputy Head of Media Relations is Heiner Seidel, 36. He holds a degree inbusiness administration and has been working for Deutsche Boerse in various positions within the Corporate Communications department since 2001. Seidel joined Media Relations in 2006. In addition to his role as deputy head of Media Relations he acts as a spokesperson for Eurex
and Deutsche Boerse Systems.
The Media Relations team is part of Corporate Communications which isheaded by Rdiger Assion, 41. Stefan Keidel, 43, who has been working for Deutsche Brse since 1 October 2007 returns for family reasons back to Munich.
Walter Allwicher, 40, who served as head of Media Relations for manyyears, is leaving Deutsche Boerse Group by mutual consent. Allwicher joined Deutsche Boerse in 1995, and was in charge of global PR since 1998; from 2006 to 2007, he was responsible for all the groups corporate communications.
During this time, Allwicher provided communication support for all major activities Deutsche Boerse Group engaged in. These include the IPO, the merger of the derivatives exchanges in Germany and Switzerland into the international derivatives exchange Eurex, building up the US-regulated derivatives exchange Eurex US and the takeover of the International Securities Exchange.
