HSBC has appointed Gerald Noltsch from BNP Paribas as its head of securities services for Germany, according to an internal memo seen by Global Custodian.

Noltsch spent 21 years at BNP Paribas Securities Services most recently responsible for Germany, the Netherland and Nordics.

His previous roles included spells at Deutsche Bank and Clearstream.

In the new role Noltsch will be based in Dusseldorf and report to Carola von Schmettow on an entity basis and functionally to Carl Andrews and regional head of Europe for HSBC Securities Services.

Noltsch will replace Gina Slotosch, who moves into a global role as head of business and commercial management for the HSBC Securities Services asset manager and owner sector in London.

Slotosch joined HSBC in 2005 and has held roles across both Germany and the UK, including head of global custody product.

Prior to joining HSBC, Slotosch worked at Deutsche Bank, State Street and BNY Mellon.
