Keri Smith, one of the best-known figures in network management and a sometime chairman of the Association of Global Custodians, has left RBC Dexia Investor Services. The Canadian global custodian has not announced her departure formally but has indicated internally that Smith has left the bank for personal reasons.
Smith, who joined RBC Dexia in London as worldwide head of network management in July 2006 from Investors Bank shortly before the Boston-based custodian was sold to State Street, reported to client services director Tim Wood. She was a high profile hire, and her relatively early departure is an unexpected one. It is not known if Smith has joined another bank.
