Netik has hired Laura Bedborough and Doreen Severs to boost its sales force in the EMEA and North American regions.

“We are very pleased to be adding both Doreen Severs and Laura Bedborough to Netik’s sales team,” says Colin Close, CIO, Netik. “Each brings with them a wealth of experience and a successful track record that will boost Netik’s business development and global sales capability”.

Doreen Severs will take on the role of Sales Executive and report to Michael Rodgers, Sales Director Netik America. Doreen Severs joins Netik from Deutsche Bank, where she served as Vice President of Equity Trading Technology. During that time, Severs’s responsibilities included co-ordinating all global financial activities and strategic planning initiatives.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Severs worked at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) – World Markets Corp., as an Executive Director – US Asset Management Technology, where she managed all application development and support for the Asset Management Division of CIBC Oppenheimer. During this time, Severs also collaborated with senior management to define strategic initiatives and provide technology solutions. Prior to CIBC, Severs worked for Ogilvy & Mather as a Client Finance Manager.

“I have known Doreen for many years and I am very excited to have her join our sales team,” says Michael Rodgers. “Our sales approach has always been aimed at marrying our technology with our customer’s business objectives, and we have been very successful in doing this. It does require a solid understanding of our client’s business environment and Doreen brings with her a tremendous amount of experience within the Global Asset Management Market. She is very familiar with the issues facing today’s Investment Management firms”.

In Europe, Laura Bedborough takes on the role of Sales Executive reporting to Keith Hale, Managing Director EMEA. Bedborough will be responsible for new business development in the Alternative Investment Market including Hedge Funds, Investment Management, Prime Brokerage and Hedge Fund Administration. In addition to new business development, Bedborough will also be responsible for existing strategic partnerships in Europe including Advent Software Inc.

Prior to Netik, Bedborough worked at Corel as a Strategic Alliance Manager for Europe. During this time, Bedborough was responsible for the creation and management of all partnership relationships for Corel’s Enterprise product offering to increase the company’s overall sales and brand awareness throughout Europe.

Prior to Corel, Bedborough worked at InterBizz, a boutique FIX-based trading solutions provider for both the buy and sell-side communities. During this time, Bedborough was responsible for managing client relationships.

“I am very pleased to expand our sales team with Laura to focus on the Alternative Investment Market in Europe,” says Keith Hale, MD for Netik EMEA. “After several significant successes in the last 18 months in the ‘Alternative’ space, we will benefit from further focusing on this rapidly growing segment of the market. Laura will concentrate on the unique and complex Data Management and Reporting needs of the Alternative Investment Market, all of which can be fulfilled using Netik InterView’s Investment Hub”.
