NetEconomy, a provider of real-time enterprise risk monitoring solutions for the finance industry, said its anti-money laundering software has obtained staff-wide certification from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). NetEconomy staff, including management, sales, marketing, services, support, and research and development, received the elite ‘CAMS’ Anti-Money Laundering Credential by ACAMS.

The CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) designation is awarded to professionals who successfully complete a proctored examination focused on money laundering/terrorist financing methods, the best practices to stop these crimes, the key legislation in place worldwide, global AML standards and developing defenses for financial institutions to stop terrorist financing and money laundering.

“Earning the CAMS credential is a significant achievement for NetEconomy and its staff because it will provide their clients and business partners around the world with the assurance that they are working with an organization with proven capabilities in this challenging field,” said Saskia Rietbroek-Garces, Executive Director of ACAMS.

Founded in 2002, ACAMS now has nearly 2,800 members in 101 countries. Its primary focus is the standardization of the AML profession.
