“The National Depository Center” (NDC), Russia’s only settlement depository servicing the full range of debt and equity securities of Russian issuers, appointed Ekaterina Demushkina the company’s Deputy Director General. In her new position Demushkina will be supervising legal and new business issues, client relations and regional development.
Demushkina graduated from Moscow State University in 1992 with a specialty in civil law. In 2006 she gained an MBA degree in the Russian Academy for Foreign Trade.
Demushkina has been working in Russian stock market since the moment of its formation. She took part in the development of legal and regulatory base of domestic securities market. In particular she was a member of the working group formed by the State Duma’s Budget, Tax, Banking and Finance Committee for development of the securities legislation.
In 1997-2003 she was a member of the MICEX Arbitration Commission.
Demushkina has 15 years of work experience n banking sector. She worked for the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for over seven years; in 1998 she headed the Central Bank’s Division for Control over Credit Organizations’ Operations in Financial Market.
In 2001-2005 she worked in mortgage lending segment being a Deputy General Director of Moscow Mortgage Agency Commercial Bank.
In 2006 Demushkina joined MICEX Group as a Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, National Clearing Center. In 2007-2010 she worked for Depository Clearing Company CJSC, a part of RTS Group, as the company’s Vice President.
