The N.I.R. Group, the investment management firm, has appointed Howard Tanney as senior vice president.
In his new position, Tanney, a 25-year industry veteran, will manage the portfolio of N.I.R.’s soon to be launched Hyperion Commodities Partners, a commodities fund specializing in energy.
Tanney earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Baruch College, the City University of New York (CUNY). He also holds a M.B.A. in finance from St. John’s University.

With his track record of success, Howard fits that mold perfectly, and in managing the Hyperion fund he will lead N.I.R. into an exciting new frontier,” says Corey S.
