Platinum Capital Management announced today that Eric L. Munson is to be President of Platinum Capital Management LLC, the new US affiliate of Platinum. The New York-based affiliate was set up to distribute Platinum strategies in the US markets, and to develop new products.
Munson was formerly Managing Director of Wentworth, Hauser & Violich, a US$6 billion registered investment advisor. His prior experience includes positions with Morgan Stanley, Hambrecht & Quist and Seneca Capital Management, as well as Vice President and Director of Franklin Management Inc., the private portfolio management arm of the Franklin Templeton Group. He was also a founder of Elmwood Capital and Ananda Capital Management.
