Multifonds, an investment fund software provider, is launching Multifonds Global Investor, a consolidated platform for investor servicing and transfer agency operations.
The single, industrial-scale platform will meet investor servicing needs of both the alternatives and traditional markets, providing partnership accounting and fund-level performance fees for unitized funds, using both investor equalization as well as a series of shares processing, Multifonds says.
A Multifonds survey showed that 82% of the industry believed that convergence of the traditional and alternative industry will continue, and more than 65% of respondents agreed that the updated Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive regulation will drive further convergence.
The trend of fund structure convergence offers major opportunities for fund administrators, Multifonds says. The companys revenue has increased by 50% over the last two years as a result of this theme.
For long-only funds, the company’s new product delivers fund distribution capabilities including commission structures and controls such as control reports, audit trail, investor risk adequacy check and linking order processing with fund rules including anti-money laundering and know-your-customer activities.
Multifonds Global Investor supports limited partnerships, hedge funds with series of shares, hedge funds with equalization, master-feeder fund structures, fund of funds, alternative UCITS funds as well as mutual funds, money market funds, UCITS funds and unit trusts.
The software, built on the current Multifonds Transfer Agent program, was rebranded when it was redesigned to fully support alternatives.
We are delighted to offer clients a proven, scalable solution for alternative as well as traditional funds, says Oded Weiss, CEO of Multifonds. Multifonds Global Investor is the only transfer agency product that can offer a combined long-only and alternatives solution. As a single platform across different fund types, it enables our clients to reduce their cost of ownership, deliver consistent reporting to both managers and investors, and improve operational efficiency through implementation of a consistent operating model.
