MUFG Investor Services has appointed Marc Russell-Jones as head of business development for the EMEA region.

Formerly MD in the asset management sector at State Street, Russell-Jones will now be responsible for asset servicing offerings across hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity funds in the EMEA region.

“With his extensive experience in the alternative investment industry, Marc will play a significant role in extending our best in-class asset servicing solutions for our clients in EMEA,” said John Sergides, MD, global head of business development & marketing.

“His appointment demonstrates our commitment to the industry and supports our ambition to become the leading player in the market.”

Prior to joining State Street, Russell-Jones served as MD for prime brokerage and alternative investor services at JP Morgan as well as acting as MD head of sales and alternative investment services at BNY Mellon.

Russell-Jones is the latest appointment for MUFG following the appointments of Mark Catalano from Atlas Fund Services Michael McCabe from BNY Mellon and McAllister Kirschner from BlackRock.

“MUFG Investor Services’ ambitious growth strategy and commitment to high quality client service are well known industry-wide,” said Russell-Jones.

“I look forward to working closely with the established team to further develop these qualities and expand our advanced, asset servicing solutions across the EMEA region.”
