Monte Titoli, the Italian post-trade service provider owned by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), has appointed Mauro Dognini as its new general manager.
He joins from the Royal Bank of Canada’s (RBC) investor services unit where he was Italian General Manager between 2011 and 2014. Dognini also served as vice general manager of Italy and global head of Asset Managers and Asset Owners Solutions for BNP Paribas Securities Services.
The appointment of Dognini to the custody and collateral management provider comes as Europe prepares for new rules on harmonizing cross-border securities settlements.
The centralized platform, known as TARGET2-Securities (T2S), will start settlement operations on June 22 2015.
