MONIS Launches Convertible Bond Data Service

MONIS, a supplier of derivatives analytics which expanded into the convertibles and equity-linked securities markets, says it can now provide clients with pre-formatted, comprehensive data on new convertibles issues, enabling them to conduct sophisticated analysess across the convertible bond markets. The MONIS Convertibles Data Service pre-formats and delivers new issue data – terms and conditions, daily prices and other data – for immediate use in both MONIS Convertibles Analyzer (the front office system) and MONIS Convertibles XL (the spreadsheet-based pricing analysis and management system).

All US issues and most larger European and Asian issues are covered by the New Issues Service, which iks being sent to 450 MONIS users around the world. Indicative and/or final terms are made available for download from the MONIS web site as soon as they begin appearing in the market. MONIS clients are instantly informed of their availability – and any later updates – via email alerts. ‘It’s extremely helpful to have verification of modelling from an independent and trusted source,’ says Barry Garner, Portfolio Manager, Hadron Fund, New York.

MONIS says that, of over 400 financial institutions which MONIS supplies under long-term supply contracts (including ABN Amro, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deutsche, DrKW, HSBC, Merrill Lynch, and UBS) more than 60 percent use convertibles or equity derivatives products from MONIS every day.
