Chuck Widger, chairman and CEO of Brinker Capital, Inc., is a new recipient of the Pioneer Award from the Money Management Institute (MMI).

MMI presents the award at its annual meeting to industry leaders who have made significant contributions to the separately managed account industry and winners must also demonstrate a commitment to upholding a highly ethical work environment.

“I have worked with Chuck Widger for more than 20 years. He is without question one of the finest and most innovative leaders in our industry,” Brinker Capital President John E. Coyne III said. “His leadership and vision has made Brinker Capital what it is today and I can think of no one who is more deserving of this award.”

“Chuck Widger has been central to MMI since its inception in 1997, as a founding board member and in other leadership positions,” Chris Davis, executive director of MMI, said. “Through the years, Chuck’s vision helped push and prod MMI in the right direction, always with a central focus on the investor. Chuck’s vision has never wavered and he has contributed greatly to MMI and to the managed account industry.”
