HBOS, OCBC, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and Bank of India will implement the MidasPlus banking system, says Misys.

HBOS and Bank of India are currently implementing the solution, whilst OCBC and ICBC are starting initial roll-out planning. Misys says MidasPlus gives buyers back office functionality at each branch plus an improved view of risks and exposures across their operations.

“Our customers are excited by the new global view of their operations never available before,” says Roger Hedges, Head of International and Regional Banking Markets. “Data that was traditionally locked away in various systems is now instantly accessible in MidasPlus with global processing.” MidasPlus is the next generation of Midas, a widely installed wholesale banking system. Misys says all four contracts were competitively tendered.

In addition to the four named banks, a further two customers will also be using MidasPlus for global processing and a further eleven existing customers have upgraded from Midas for their single site operations. This brings the total number of customers for MidasPlus to 17.

“We are delighted that Bank of India, HBOS, ICBC and OCBC have all chosen MidasPlus to manage their global processing,” adds Hedges. “MidasPlus is truly a market leading product and provides customers with a world class solution.”
